Comments (96)Sorry to continue....the plan by Louise on the 20/01/2017.... But the laundry ( with internal access or through cloak room) and ensuite to the rear of the garage the master behind...... Then a Wir separating the master form the living or a bathroom...... The a fireplace if required against the western wall central in the house.... The entrance and small cloak room for the winter woollies against the garage and the other three beds at the front RHS with bath near.... The lounge/ kitchen/ dining in a similar layout but with minimal a walls blocking the view from the entry to the living/kitchen .... I like at lease a small wall dividing the living and lounge for the teenagers also.... If I get an chance I will sketch something up. Good luck this the paperwork... Comments (51)siriuskey, Yes, the courtyard is open to the sky (no roof over it), I assume this is what you mean by double story. Ref. below photos, I would love to get this look, especially the first and last photo, where you can see family living space from the first floor. I can't achieve this in my plan as it eats a lot of floor space upstairs. The referred plan (photos) has a very big void combining staircase, hallway and dining area. I know it is not easy with cooling and heating when you have such a big void. So, I explored a few ideas (with my limited knowledge on this topic) before achieving the current floorplan. I have also thought about, in my current plan, extending the void on the staircase to the dining area (it is more like L shape) but i wasn't sure if that makes any difference. keen to hear your thoughts....See MoreFinal Floor Plan Feedback pls
Comments (14)unable to read all the dimensions my suggestions have simplified the shape of the building and based on estimated room sizes are aimed at improving comfort by separating some areas (eg study and lounge) for quiet activities and if you added furniture to suit your lifestyle and activities (eg not sure how you would want to furnish the cinema and bar) would help you to ensure rooms are the best size and shape (eg downstairs bedroom could be used for a guest room so i've included private access to the bathroom)..the zen room could be included with the master suite by moving the doors across the upstairs hallway...the rearranged cloak room to better suit the likely easy walking path from car inside with groceries and the powder room more likely used from the study and lounge when there's an extra bathroom at the back of the house.....luckily you have ideal north facing main rooms but, unless there are great views i would be cautious about balconies and wide expanses of glass to the east or west (or consider external sun screens) and depending on budget there would be lots of option to reduce the overall size without changing the basic floorplan...See MoreFeedback on ground floor plan
Comments (7)Looking at your plan again, which I do like. But looking at the fit out of your rooms: You do not have a decent sized double sink, just a small poky circular sink that won’t fit any thing in it apart from glasses, cups and small plates. Where are you going to wash your large trays and platters that don’t fit in the dish washer? And I agree with Kates comment regarding stairs and the fridge. The fridge needs to be accessible for all people easily for everyday use. Are you having a small beverage fridge in your kitchen? Oh and you also do not have a decent sink in your laundry, again only a small circular one....See More- last year
