Old house exterior modern colour scheme?
Comments (24)I would look at respecting the period and the architecture of the home by keeping the white exterior. All you need to do is highlight the window frames with a black paint to give it some visual highlights and cleaner lines. I wouldn't get too 'out there' with the colour palette or doing too much to the facade as it will start to look like your trying too hard, respect what you have and don't try to make it something it is not....See MoreExterior colour scheme Would like other professionals opinions please
Comments (6)Thanks for your insight, yes I'd looked at Surfmist as well, clients seem quite pro grey so trying to subtly work their likes into the scheme as well, as I think they woule like a grey house however I think the monochrome black / white is classic and will endure the test of time longer than some shades of grey, also if they were opting for white windows may be more inclined to look at grey for the house colour however feel that the black windows will work nicer with the lexicon and tie in the black elements. Comments (23)Hi Mary, Check out interior designer Brett Mickan’s projects, Ferdinand st being a big heritage project. He’s really good with bold warm colours and nails the heritage respect without feeling like the place is just a vintage redo. Have you considered getting an interior designer to help? I think in a special project like yours they are worth their weight in gold!! Good luck, I love the property....See MoreExterior paint colour scheme
Comments (2)I think your idea of going all white would look fabulous, even your retaining wall at the front, add lush landscaping, gorgeous planters, it will look great against the white and give that beach look you are after, check out 3 Birds renovations for inspiration...See More- last month
