Yes currently two and want to convert to one.
Can drive down either side unless we remove that laundry so yes knock it down and put it somewhere internal. 4-5 bedrooms depending on living space allocations. Ideally three upstairs with a study or parent retreat and one guest room downstairs

Not sure re front door… it’s a main street with gorgeous houses around it, so want it aesthetically appealing. An external access to upstairs is not essential but a foyer or something to allow for privacy if I choose to do home daycare on the lower level.

It’s full of narrow rooms. First thing would be to get someone in to assess the structure to see what walls can be pulled out and what has to stay.

And will need proper measurements

subject to confirmation of available space and council approval my suggestion would be to make minimal changes to existing walls and windows and convert the garage to a MPR that could also be used for FDC with an enclosed front courtyard and separate entry path to the new front verandah...there's off street parking and a carport to shelter the mudroom entry and relocating the internal stairs allows for better access to upstairs, a new front entry and there's only two walls that need to be opened up with a ceiling beam for the new kitchen and stairwell so downstairs uses existing room spaces for all living areas, guest room and extra bedroom/study but upstairs isn't big enough to include three bedrooms as well as a retreat, ens and wiw without an upstairs extension but, the original rear lean to roof, could be extended over a ground level alfresco and there should be enough space for the big shed in the backyard but, it would be a shame to sacrifice all the shade trees, so you need to make an accurate site plan including the specific location of the trees to help identify the best location for the big shed

Hello Olivia, Congratulations this is some project!! And will be lovely family home too. This is SO rough... I do not know how to 'draw" on computer but I could do it with pencil and paper in no time with dimensions and a chat to you too! The idea is to loose the outside laundry, turn the now kitchen into laundry, the bathroom remains as pwd and ensuite, the kitchen moves along with a pantry. Loose a few walls for a large open plan dining living area then upstairs the kitchen becomes ensuite and a robe to make bedroom not study and add other robes to make the bedrooms useful!
