Comments (5)I’d put bed on side wall without windows, May give u space for a chair At the windows. Door or no door. Have a look at the facade presentation from the deck with both options. Then consider how often you will use the door. Look at view lines from bed. Wil the corner obstruct view anyway, so is it just access. Also I note that the en-suite May be closest toilet to pool..... will you be having a drying rack on deck for wet towels and bathers. Etc. no definitive answer as your choice, i note I have a sun room in same position as your bedroom. We went the extra sliding door and never use it. But haven’t said thatI wouldnt change it As it works with my facade....See MoreHelp with a master bedroom and ensuite layout please
Comments (10)Hi CC, my suggestion is the same as others, but make the two wardrobes into a walk through dressing room, by removing wardrobe internal walls. This will not reduce hanging space, and make the area visually larger. Depending on the style of your home, install a barn sliding door at entrance of wardrobes. Regarding the tiling. I suggest having the entire bathroom, toilet, WIR area the same flooring. If you are having carpet in your bedroom, then finish the carpet at the entrance to WIR. You could have carpet rugs along walk way to bathroom, for cold feet. However, if you are having floorboards in your bedroom, then continue them into the WIR as your thoughts posted previously. Finishing at bathroom entrance. This will be a well used area, and either tiles or floorboards will wear better than carpet. Are you having a door on entrance to bathroom? Thanks....See MoreMaster bedroom, WIR and en-suite design
Comments (12)reluctant to lose the convenience of outside access to a toilet my suggestion sacrifices a little space off the lounge and bedroom to keep the extra toilet and use the original laundry space for a bigger ensuite with separate toilet and double vanities, the new extension makes a more spacious wiw with only standard doorway openings to the new rooms but the ideal outside door for the laundry will depend on the location of the drying area and you may decide that a western door or no outside door (and walk through the verandah?) could both add more counter space to the laundry and, much as i like the gable roof for the extension, it would be interesting to obtain a comparative quote for a simple skillion roof (and raked ceilings for the new laundry and wiw) that may save a lot of extra roof structure that doesn't add anything to the inside of the new rooms or streetscape and could be much cheaper.....See More- 10 months ago
