Aviator Furniture ?

Has anyone seen this furniture before ?

There are quite a few companies that make this , some even seems to be made from actual scrapped airplanes . While I personally don't consider it to be Steampunk , it does have some of those elements .

I wouldn't ( and/or wouldn't be allowed haha ) to use it as a main lounge suite , but its quirky and imaginative and arty , and since 'discovering' this genre of furniture , its got my imagination attracted .

Thoughts ? Maybe an office full ? Or just a reception desk in a trendy loft-style office ?

Even a clock . . . . .

or is it just plane silly ?

It’s def interesting. The looks where it’s slowed to be the main feature look best. Not for my house but I could see a piece in a study.

I seem to like things that are a bit different and a bit whimsical .

To be fair , its probably better suited to a slightly creative office or similar , rather than a house . At some stage in the next 18 months or so , we are going to do a new office for one of our businesses , of course bt that stage things may change , but right now I'm keen , and Rosie is all smiles , so we'll see .

Ceiling tiles as above -- they are foam and are glued on then planted . Converting $US to $NZ , they work out about $60 a square metre incl freight , so say 10 metres x 5 metres is $3k !

A whimsical clock . The parachutist is the pendulum !

    The coffee machine . . . . . .

Maybe a bit overdone haha !

I like some of the aviator items, the first desk and chair and the chair and clock in the fourth pic. I don't like some of the others. I do like whimsy, I like decor with personality rather than just whatever is trendy that year. Something that reflects the occupants not just whatever the 'experts' are selling at the time.

My worry is that if something goes wrong , will it be a terminal illness haha ?Will we need a crash course ? Or was that over your head ? Will it be a runaway success ?
