Is a bath necessary in a small bathroom?
Comments (63)I have a shower over bath combo' which its plastic resin something? It's a old bungalow and pitifully small. The amount of times I have nearly slipped over getting out, or lost my balance with soap in my eyes/ or after having a glass of wine. hate hate it. I did see a shower room with a additional hand held device and a over head shower. I thought that good for the odd squirt your feet down. The next owners will probably rip it all out and start again any way when design ideas change....See MoreWhich bathroom layout should I go with?
Comments (21)yes but I think it depends what market you are likely to be seeking in. if it's not family home market but more up market retirees then a glam spacious bathroom will win more plaudits from buyers than a cramped make-do space. I just strongly feel you should design your bathroom so it is a pleasure to use every day not just the one day a year you may want a bath (plus much as I like the style of bathroom Siriuskey has posted they really don't beg out for bathing in). But a vanity space where you can even have your own toothpaste if you like stripey and he likes plain and all stored neatly away so they never have to appear on display together and with a shower you can lift your arms up in is priceless if you ask me....See MoreSolutions needed to family bathroom layout to maximise space
Comments (10)Annb1997. Thanks for your suggestions. I don't think I need a heated towel rack if have a central heating radiator. A hanging rack would go above this perhaps too but also near the shower. In my lomg experience of CH the towels dry off fine in winter this way. In summer also when radiator not on if the window is open. I really do not like sliding doors on showers so have to find a solution with a 1000mm square shower with door. I have spent two hours today in a showroom looking at all possible combinations. Clearance is insufficient with certain size fixtures as you state with the vanity in the new position. So my homework tonight was choose from all the possible variations that we determined would work. Wish me luck!!...See MoreA bathroom redo in teal
Comments (16)Like others , I absolutely love the colours , the rounded cabinet and mirrored wall unit , but the square tiles and subways meeting in that corner distracts from the beauty of the niche . You say the client fell in love with the square tiles -- I can understand that , but I'd suggest doing a row or two of them around those 2 walls ( maybe just below the height of the niche ) would have made it look like it was planned -- right now it basically looks like someone under-ordered tiles , so had to do the next wall in a different one . In fact , it's slightly worse than that , because one goes to the floor , the other stops 600mm above it and is white below , and us OCD people don't like that haha !...See More- 2 years ago
