Haberfield Heritage Home Revival
The client’s brief was to update and modernize their 1880s Heritage Listed Federation home, making it more suitable for a modern family lifestyle while preserving its historical charm. It was essential to enhance original features like the brickwork, leadlight windows, and intricate ceiling details.

After:
To achieve this, we began by revitalizing the façade, ensuring the original beauty was maintained. We tuck-pointed the brickwork, restored and repainted the windows and trims, and replaced the old, cracked tessellated tiles with new ones that stayed true to the home’s era. Inside, we preserved the original timber floorboards, high skirting boards, architraves, and ceiling details in the front part of the house. For the rear, we updated the modern open-plan living area with a refreshed kitchen and bathrooms, carefully maintaining beloved original features such as the sash timber windows in the bathrooms and the elegant timber windows in the main living and dining rooms.
