Help with Master bed and WIR and Ensuite Please
Comments (10)Hi again Sophia, Your Photo 1, looks good. When considering design options I always consider the "regular use preference". That is, you have an efficient design (toilet location) which you will use all the time. The odd occasion where the toilet flush is heard (OMG) by the occupant of bed 2 would be perhaps 2% of the time? I know it not perfect, but renovations never are. Therefore, if the toilet in that location is efficient for your m.bed, i would go with that over making it inefficient just for the bed 2 occupant to not hear the toilet flush 2% of the time. i hope that makes sense? With the moisture in the WIR, there are options. you could put in an extra ceiling exhaust fan, or ceiling vents in the WIR, or even a small highlight window in the WIR (perhaps a permanent vent or lourves) - i believe there is a solution there for sure. moving the wall 200mm, will just come down to your preference and requirements for clothes. your choice. I hope that helps. Best of luck ! Regards, Doug,...See MorePlease help with layout for Master WIR & Ensuite
Comments (27)the shower room is about 2700 long and wet shower floor about 1500 so dry standing space should be about 1200 and towel rail about 2.5m away from the shower head so heated towel rail shouldn't be a problem ...the sliding glass door is meant to enclose all the moisture within the shower room and to be kept away from all the other rooms while still allowing light from the skylight to be shared with the adjoining rooms by retaining the slope in the existing ceilings and adding a ventilating skylight directly above the shower and adding fixed panes of glass in the wall between the shower space and the other small rooms and having just the 2200- 2400 tall partition behind the bed and between the ens and wiw...the wardrobes could still have the storage built up to 2400 and the dust can just stay where it lands and sparkle in all that lovely light...sadly, i have two perfectly sized Velux roof windows awaiting a new home but transport costs could far outweigh the cost of buying local but i've occasionaly seen them offered on Gumtree etc so start looking...See Moredesign layout help! master, ensuite &WIR
Comments (13)Are you refitting an existing apartment or is this a new build? Can windows and door be changed. Okl plan is heaps better but has diff windows to ensuite and wir. I would even say it is best if you can’t change windows. In heritage buildings they build walls into windows wir doesn’t have to have window. Good lighting and floor length mirror you can borrow lighting from ensuite with some glass between....See MoreMaster suite design. Help with ensuite and WIR design pls
Comments (6)We have a 2 slider entry from both sides and a sliding door in between. Very useful. Shower larger than standard and has a half wall for putting bottles on and on the other side the heated towel rail so can easily grab a towel stepping out of the shower. The shower has a triangular shelf = great to put feet on for washing/shaving. Also opposite the shower a cupboard added for towels, toilet paper, supplies etc. In wardrobe a chute for washing down to the laundry. Loving that....See More- 9 months ago
