I would look at deleting the east facing window in MPR. Either replace with two long vertical windows at each end of wall. One vertical window at the north end of east wall, or a horizontal highlight window on the east wall.

Also, for such a big space and potential older occupants climbing the stairs, I would delete the storage room and extend the stairs to give a safe flat landing instead of the dangerous triangle winding stairs. It depends on the ground floor and what is below the storage room. If the stairs, which are used everyday, go to the east wall, then you could have a window in the stairwell. Incorporating a BIR somewhere else for storage.

The small Bed 4 has a highlight window on east wall. Is this required because of overlooking to neighbours? A bedroom window that is 1500mm from floor level would be better for a bedroom. (since it is small). You can still put a bedhead or desk etc in front of it. and the occupants can see out of their room. I understand the concept if regulations are governing this decision.

Agree stair design is not great, should avoid winders so try and get length for 2 more steps at least for half landing if not full landing you post ground floor. If the ensuite room is occasional then flip it to north side. This keeps the 3 beds on cooler side away from the more noisy and with Bathroom entry closer to bedrooms it serves and moves its door away from stairs.

Having said that you may prefer the ensuite room away from the mpr. In that case just flip the family bathroom and toilet so entry is away from stair.

More an observation than anything -- you have a guest bedroom/office . With an ensuite .

An office doesn't need an ensuite , although a toilet is handy , but that can be anywhere on that level . An ensuite in a guest bedroom is nice . It might impress guests . On the 10 or 20 nights a year it is used .

Meanwhile , you have presumably 3 or more children , with 1 bathroom , 1 toilet . If they are well behaved ( or threatened haha ) . Otherwise they will run through Bed 3 and use the ensuite and toilet .

Without knowing the ages and sexes , I'd try and have 2 bathrooms , each with 2 or 3 doors -- one each way to 2 bedrooms . With locks , presumably . Even if it means cutting down that MPR and/or storage a bit .

On that note too , the fact you are calling it an MPR , not a study or even family or rumpus room , implies you have 2 or 3 other family type rooms downstairs -- you'll have people spread out all through the house ! I'm not telling anyone how to run their house or their lives , but IMO you either let children have time out in their bedroom , or they are somewhere you can see them . I'm opinionated tonight haha !
