Planning to prevent overlooking neighbour open space

last month

I’m looking to purchase as semidetached house in an inner Melbourne suburb on a 6m wide block. It’s single story at the moment but I would want to add an upstairs bedroom to take advantage of the amazing NW facing view into the back yard, trees etc. My concern is what windows I would be allowed to install on the second floor to comply with overlooking rules. There are neighbours on both sides with private yards extending 7m+ out the back (both also on 6m wide blocks). The planned extension would be within the current footprint abutting one neighbour and offset 1m from the other neighbour’s boundary. Does anyone have examples of solutions to this scenario? How can I maximise the view into my own backyard without overlooking the neighbours?
