Advice needed for outside space on subdivided block

last month
last modified: last month

Hi, I love this site. The advice given 18 months ago from here for our bathroom reno we followed completely and have ended up with an amazing space. I am hoping someone can help us with the next project - the outside space.

We have subdivided our block since we bought it and my mum lives out the back. We share the double driveway but need more parking so would like to concrete the front garden into a space to park. Add a fence along the front of the house and add a wall of shrubs in front of the fence along the house for visual appeal.

We would like to add a carport if possible and have a big shed space on the fence line. We currently have an open wood storage and a shed which we would like to knock ad rebuild into one structure that attaches to a stratco double carport to save on cost and hope not require a building permit.

We will remove the water tank (near the entrance) to improve the line of site to our front door but I hate that we have a side entrance, it makes it really tricky for visitors to work out where to go at the moment.

So we would like to

- have a more definite line to our front door and my mums (same path at the moment which cant be changed).

- The dining room at the front is now a study so we would like the fence line to continue in some way.

Can anyone help/offer any suggestions/and ideas to improve the front.

Our two main priorities are to have one or two more car parking spaces (soon to be another teenager driving) and improve vision/access to the front door.

I have included as many visuals as possible including current house plan. Subdivided information and my thoughts. I can't seem to add my photos. Restricted to 3 images.
