Hey! I would recommend when you've got a blank bedroom to decorate that you start by choosing a nice light shade and sheets for the bed. A well-lit room with appealing sheets will make you feel at home and comfy. As for other decor, bedside tables are essential they don't have to be expensive, something practical in a decent colour works wonders for the function of the room, and to bring some aesthetic choose a nice lamp for the bedside table, and make it homey with your favourite books and some tissues etc... A rug and some decorative pillows can also work wonders, perhaps in this space a nice shaggy rug to add some texture and a fluffy pillow to complement that texture would be awesome. The painting you've got is great and it would look super good hung over the bed. Other things to consider having in your room are a laundry basket and some pretty curtains or blinds if there more your thing.

I think you need to soften the look and colour of the bed by mixing white and cream bed linen maybe with a little soft grey accents. I would go for a variety of textures in the textile as apposed to any outrageous colour and layer the look with throws and cushions. A mirror long and sleek would look great behind bed and a tall floor lamp and some greenery eg: potted palm in the corner by the window. Good Luck!

My advice would be to get rid of the blind as you won't use it once you have the curtains - perhaps you could use it elsewhere or have it as a spare. You would probably find that without the blind you will use the access more often. I would do full height and full width drapes - an inverted pleat is attractive with heavier fabrics but if you have the light fabric on the top keep it simple. How about putting your sheer lighter drape on the side closest to the bedroom and have the blackout lining behind. This gives softer look in your room. You would probably find that without the blind you will use the access more often. If there is a lot of sun take care with the pure linen cotton and natural fibres as they will rot with light and sun. There are many synthetic linen look alternatives that are less expensive, last longer and have the same look. I feel your room could do with some texture - you could possibly have a subtle self coloured stripe in the drape - or go plain and have the interest in your bedding. If you want to go soft grey drapes I would go for a darker charcocal or midnight blue/ teal colour on your walls which would look awesome with a soft grey linen look curtain and natural bedding. You could introduce soft mustard, peachy pinks and soft apple green linens in your bed cushions.

What a gorgeous picture window, Karina. It appears this wall is curved and is quite a feature. If you require storage, I would consider having a custom shelving unit designed and built to follow the curve of the wall. Apart from that, blinds get my vote for this particular window, individually set into reveals as Piega suggested. And if you don’t plan to use space under winode for furniture or storage, sheers in front of blinds would look great (consider dark sheer fabric too). Full length drapes are far better looking than short ones, plus they provide thermal benefit. You might consider these for bedrooms, but double blinds with blockout would also work well. I think blinds have come a long way and there are so many gorgeous fabrics and colours to choose. Agree its visually pleasing to have same type of window treatment on all those facing the street.
