Is your final photo of the vanity you already have? I also thought adding legs would take it back to the MCM you are after. Would be interesting to know how the silver drawer pull is attached. Not sure about painting it matte black as I thought timber furnishings were more prevalent then, but it's totally your choice. I hope you will post updates as you go. I just love mid-century.

Hi Suneiah I had new doors, side panels and shelves made for the existing vanities. Fortunately the new doors and panels have not subsequently been affected by moisture. I also changed the tapware to something a little sleeker and ergonomically better, and painted the rooms. However, I left the vanities in place because I really wasn't up to the task of pulling out the bathrooms at the time (for many reasons: mainly the mess and also all of the strata processes I would have needed to attend to. Suneiah - I wish you all the best for whatever changes you decide to make to your bathroom(s).

Ooh. iI ike the idea of using the green in the niche - would help tie in and integtrate the facing (feature) wall. We're going to stick with a wall faced toilet, but will build out a false wall to the current edge of the bath so that we have an invisible cistern as well as create a void for the niche above. And think you are also right about the continuous bulkhead too. Thank you!
