Caught in a bit of a styling dilemma - our semi/duplex currently has dark stained cedar french doors and windows throughout the house. We would like to brighten up the look by having the windows and doors either (a) painted white/surfmist or (b) replaced with aluminium surfmist. I prefer stackers to french doors as can have a fly-screen which is great for no-bug ventilation and keeping pet indoors (ventilation is key for us as we are south-facing semi). Questions - 1) can aluminium work with the look of our house and not look cheap/tacky? 2) is it possible to have a mix of aluminium stackers and timber windows if all in the same colour or would that look weird? Appreciate your thoughts!
