Bright Ideas for a Small Bathroom Transformation

Tucked inside a block of apartments on Sydney’s Northern Beaches was a very small, very dated bathroom, showing its age not just in style, but in function too. The apartment was a rental, and when water began leaking into the downstairs unit, it became clear that a full renovation was urgently needed.

The owners approached us with a simple brief: act fast, keep it cost-effective, and make sure the leak was properly resolved. Beyond that, they left the creative direction entirely in our hands, with just one non-negotiable: they wanted to keep a bathtub.

Working with such a compact space meant every decision had to be intentional. The goal was to completely transform the bathroom, turning it from a tired, poky room into something bright, fun, and highly functional. Clever storage solutions were essential, ensuring no corner was wasted, and the layout was designed to feel as open as possible while still housing a full-sized bath.

The result? A cheerful and efficient little oasis that feels much larger than it is. This project is proof that even the smallest spaces can pack a punch with the right vision.
