Looking for Rough Architectural Fee Estimate -150m² GP Medical Fit-Out

Hi all,

I’m planning a fit-out for a 150m² tenancy that I’m renting within a larger commercial building. The shell will be delivered compliant (incl. fire sprinklers, services, etc.), so I only need to take care of the internal fit-out.

The plan is to have 4 GP consult rooms and a reception area. I need an architect (preferably) to help with:

• Space planning / concept layout

• Joinery drawings

• 3D of the reception

• Finishes & fittings schedule/spec (tapware, hardware, etc.)

I’ve received some quotes that seem excessive, so I’m just trying to price-check what’s reasonable for this scope.

No town planning or external works needed. Just internal layout and documentation to tender with builders.

Any input would be appreciated!

...if your budget is something like $200-250K (working to ballpark $1250-1750m2 mid level office fitout then possibly something like 15-20% of that as a rough architectural fee (utilising an architect who is experienced / specialised in this area) ballpark depending on how much back end / construction stage - I'd guess likely $35-50K over several design, visualisation and documentation stages depending upon how much joinery and interiors documentation scope required.......but this budget could possibly be too light-on for medical fit-out...
