The large white at top of your samples looks too stark. The ones to left of cabinet handle are better. The one on left looks like it would work. But won’t guarantee what I am seeing on iPad screen

Thanks so much for the feedback! Squaring off the kitchen was actually my original plan, but there's a beam in the wall that makes that option unworkable.

The flooring was done just two years ago, so we'll be using the extra floorboards we have to keep things consistent.

I’m leaning towards Blossom White (warm white) for top cabinet and malt for bottom in the Venette finish from Polytec. For the island and splashback, I’m drawn to Taj Mahal, but I’m wondering if it might make the space feel a bit too muted. The other option is Calacatta Gold, which is brighter and could lift the overall look.

Is the beam above pantry door on the angle. Keep all cabinets and bench tops light if u want to brighten it up

The Taj Mahal is from Lithostone. We recently had the paint refreshed just a few months ago and weren’t planning on renovating the kitchen. But we really appreciate your kind feedback. And yes, we’ll be updating the downlights as well

I was originally leaning toward Classic White, but during my visit to the Polytec showroom, they introduced me to the Venette finish, which is fingerprint-resistant. In the Venette range, there are only two white options: Crisp White and Blossom White. Unfortunately, Blossom White wasn’t available when I went to view the Calacatta Gold.

Does anyone have experience with Polytec’s Matt finish? I’m looking for something that’s stain-resistant and easy to clean.

I've been through a very similar situation with a dark, windowless kitchen. In my case, I found that using a warm white for both the cabinets and stone really helped prevent the space from feeling too cold or sterile, plus it tied in better with the rest of the house since the living room had warm undertones too. For the pantry door, I ended up making it match the cabinets so it just sort of disappeared into the layout, honestly makes the whole space look neater and less broken up.

If you’re working with local pros, there are some really helpful builders in Hampstead who do great work with kitchens like this and can walk you through color options in person. Sometimes actually seeing the samples in your own lighting makes all the difference.
