Hi
We have a new kitchen, laundry, and pantry area, and we need to finalise our lighting plan.
We have LED strip lighting under the cabinets and have chosen three small ceramic pendant lights for the island bench. Our Kitchen opens up into a large family and dining room, and we need to send the electricians a final plan for the positions of the downlights. Our builder advises us to install more downlights, but the electrician and our kitchen designer believe it would be more aesthetically pleasing to opt for fewer. I have attached a floor plan and the kitchen plan. We have plenty of daylight (floor-to-ceiling glass panels and doors, as well as a large window in the laundry area), so the lights would only be needed in the evenings or on gloomy days. I would love some advice from Houzz experts on the best positions and quantities.
Thanks so much!
