Entry Hallway certainly a BIG Design Dilemma ?
Comments (14)I would paint the brick the same colour as your walls then follow the trim work you already have, I then place a sprint on the wall and place your wedding photo else where, I would also paint our door and window trim the same colour as the white trim to brighten the whole area. Also a nice plant but not a high one I think would also look nice,if your not into plants a then a empty bowl,...See MoreShare your kitchen design dilemma!
Comments (6)Hi Khanh, we bought a 40 year old 2 storey house and it needs a lot of work (I'm 40 and need a lot of work too but that's besides the point lol)... the kitchen does not have a pantry (we're using an old melamine cupboard for that but it's not close to the oven, fridge or sink) so meal prep involves getting everything out of the cupboard first, before packing a picnic and venturing into the kitchen lo - and for a cripple like me with a multitude of health issues, it is inconvenient and extremely impractical... we removed an old intrusive bulkhead to help open up the space and allow more light but following some not so great advice from the father in law, we need to plaster and repaint again where the bulkhead was removed as it's showing some cracks :/ It is an awkwardly laid out space .... the rest of the house has Fraser Island hardwood floors - and while we did replace a thousand layers of lino in the kitchen with really nice grey tiles, there is no connectivity between the kitchen and the smallish lounge/dining space. We could potentially add a few stools to make a breakfast bar on the lounge/dining side of the kitchen counter, but then we have no clue where the dining table would go if we did that. I'm not sure if I had the money to throw at it whether we would just 'tart it up' a little, or gut it and change the layout completely to create a better, practical flow for not just the kitchen, but the dining/lounge space as well....See MoreDesign Dilemma – Facade Fence + Gatehouse Help Needed!
Comments (1)What a problem to have! I think the start you have here for the fence is great. The gable off the garage is a great idea. and easy there to incorporate the detailing in the gable end too.Lights either side of it is good too. Embrace the wavy driveway with some grey colour to it maybe? I would not be allowed to go with pickets because he says he would have to paint them but I think they would suit your place very well and maybe somehow copy the pattern of your windows in the gate? Love it and love that you are finishing the house with such a lovely detail too. Please show us what you finish up with. Cheers and Enjoy! Margot...See MoreEnsuite - walk in robe - design dilemma
Comments (16)Thanks for the feedback. And wow thanks Louise for the plan. I really like both options and the idea of adding a bathroom to studio - we have thought that for a while. The location and overall site layout are great so I don’t want to think we will def move. More be smart with costs as we want to we may stay longer and add a pool and double garage /loft at the back (rear access). The pop out ensuite looks great too - I think we need to set it back from the front due to a heritage overlay. But it would still work just has to move down a bit and move the window for bed3x you have done this before!...See More- 9 months ago
