First-Time Kitchen Design - Seeking Feedback on Layout and Style

last modified: 2 months ago

Hello! This is my first kitchen design, and I'm feeling a little stuck and unhappy with the current look. I would really appreciate some expert advice to help me refine the space.
Key Design Questions:
Island Lighting: I'm considering adding a pendant light on the right side of the island. Do you think this is a good idea, and if so, what style or type of pendant would you recommend to best suit the space?
Window Sizing: I'm concerned the awning window looks too small for the overall space. Does it appear undersized, and what size/style adjustments might improve the balance?
Colour Palette: Currently, I find the space too dark and I want to shift the entire design to an all-white aesthetic. What are your general thoughts on an all-white kitchen, and what specific elements would you suggest to make the space look better and more dynamic within that palette?
Flooring Plan:
For context, I plan on installing light oak herringbone floorboards throughout the entire house.
Thank you so much for your input! I'm eager to hear your thoughts on how to elevate this design.
