Comments (28)The latest update! The demolition work commences on Monday. My budget has now blown out to about $14K,including everything however I think it's going to look great. My plumber and tiler are great tradesmen, and I am going to get quality fittings (on clearance from Tradelink!). My vanity does have drawers, however I had to make the compromise due to the cost and time for it to travel to WA. I have also increased the size of the shower to 900wide and the shower screen is 1160 as I am not getting it custom made (and saving $1100 in the process). The plumber has said as I need to remove and replace some of the walls, he can do an inset in the shower for shampoo/conditioner etc.and in inset/step at the bottom for shaving legs. Can anyone recommend if I should do it, and if so, what size the inset should be and how high it should be from the ground? Any advice is appreciated!...See MoreYour thoughts on our small-bathroom layout?
Comments (14)My B'room is too small to take photos. lol Keep the toilet, shower and basin in the same places but put in a preggy 750 wide basin. By doing this you can put in an 1100 corner shower instead of the rectangular one. cm for cm they are the same size shower. They are made of glass with the door on the angle opening into the centre of the room. You can then put a different shower nozzel on each wall. I have a fixed one and a sliding one. By cutting the corner off the shower you then end up with a bigger area to get dry in. You can wave your arms over the basin and toilet but not through the corner of the shower that you had. By cutting the corner off it makes the room much bigger while still having a really nice good sized shower. Having 2 nozzels means 2 can fit in the shower and keep warm too. All the best....See MoreNeed help with designing a small bathroom
Comments (4)With the temperature dropping, we tend to spend more time in the warmth of a hot shower, so now is the perfect time to make our bathrooms look and feel more luxurious! We’ve got some great ways to create a luxurious bathroom to get you through those colder months. You’ve probably heard it a thousand times before, but any sort of re-styling can instantly change the look and feel of any space. And one of the most visible spaces in your bathroom is the vanity, so try starting there. Remove everything from your vanity countertop and think about how you want the room to feel. If you want to add a touch of luxury, the first thing you could try doing is updating things like the handwash dispenser, soap dish, and toothbrush holder. By simply updating these items, you will notice the difference immediately. Nothing screams luxurious bathroom, like flowers! We think adding something like a small fresh or dried floral arrangement, immediately makes you feel like you’ve walked into a magazine shoot. Then, just amp it up with a candle in a beautiful vessel and maybe a soft, textured hand towel or face washer to complete the look!...See More- 25 days ago
