Nice house and match the tiles

Thank you Tilda :) So we have an artist called Geoff Winckle, he paints beautiful landscapes and has some pieces which have an alpine feel. I have have attached one called 'Afternoon Snowscape'. I think the warm tones in this piece would complement the cooler tone it sounds like you have chosen for your walls. I've also included 'Sunset over Rocks-Mt Wellington, Tasmania' by Jacqui Cleijne. As far as deer go I have attached a piece called 'The Messanger' by our new featured artist Jason Moad.

I don't have stacker doors, I am too far south and want an airtight seal. We are doing Binq slider which are 2400 high and around 4 mtr long - only opening one side. I can have it open to the middle or the kitchen though. And we will have a large window where the living room is as I want a cosy winter nook. But of course our living window can open for breeze too and will be about 2mtr wide at least. From what you guys are saying opening to the middle of the extension is preferable! I guess as I am the cook standing about I was thinking of myself with a pleasant breeze blowing around me as I stir my pot. ;-)

Thank you for all the replies and suggestions. Although the kitchen, dining and the entry area at large would benefit from moving the bedroom door inside, I tend to agree that the privacy and function suffer more from a bedroom door within the lounge. I was suggested elsewhere to widen the lounge entrance and remove its door thus making the layout more open and "modern". I think this would not help, though, with the door positioning problem - either way. Bigreader, bedroom 2 = top room on the layout? It can be used as a spare bedroom but it is surrounded with shutters and large windows. I think It better suited for leisure or as a work space. Oklouise, thank you for the effort in redrawing the layout and experimenting with it. The suggestion for exchanging the hinges direction is spot on. The bathroom is not built yet. I am considering replacing the bath with a partly open shower:
