I think with the copper pendant, jarrah slab and textured mosaic there's enough warmth. Im guessing there'll be a mirror ?? This can then reflect warmth of perhaps a print on the opposite wall if poss. Funnily enough I'd go for a black hand towel and maybe even for the trim of your mirror? (quite thin though) I think it's a nice choice enjoy

HI Renae, I like your colour choice black & white, I went all white in my renovations of kitchen & bathroom and just by adding a bright coloured fruit bowl, vase, pot plant and a small painting in the kitchen made the kitchen look fresh whilst in the bathroom I just added bright towels bath mat. I changed the colours in winter to warm colours and cooler colours in the summer both kitchen and bathroom. These are simple and cheap things to change a look whilst if you go for timber it can date quickly and timber absorbs moisture so it has to be looked after (time consuming and $) looking forward to seeing your finished renovations.

@girlguides - all projects, no matter what they are, come down to simply a process of sequential decision-making. The individual decisions are not rocket science and when broken down logically everybody and anybody has the capacity to make the decisions.....when people/clients say to me "I'm hopeless I can't decide, I'm not good with decisions etc " my response in one form or another is "No, you in fact can do this, you just need some clarity and guidance" Without getting too deep into it, (and it's a separate conversation/story), years of university study proved somewhat disconnected from the "real world" of design & architecture. However there was one particular lesson/concept that's stayed with me and seems to inherently apply daily to what we do: 'design (or project) decisions require a sound reason and bulletproof argument' . That's all there is to it really. You do/follow this and it naturally steers towards both viable and appealing outcomes, as the decision making is always grounded, with some sense of purpose logic and confidence. Where I find people getting stuck or lost with it all is when the path of decision-making has either been pursued out of logical sequence or has become compromised (or contaminated!) by irrelevance to the particular situation. I always endeavour to starting with fundamental aspects, derived from the client (personal preferences/requirements) and of course the contextual elements and limitations. From that point, you always have a solid foundation to build project decisions upon and you can always then refer back to it at times of being stuck or overwhelmed. If you're caught on something, break it down and take it back a little, regain the footing/hold, then continue. Regardless of a project's scale or complexity understanding and implementing these basics can go a long way to avoiding projects getting off track or ending up at the wrong place if you know what I'm saying ;) Cheers PD

I would ditch the cream and rose coloured everything, it is very dated. Go fresh white if your floor tiles allow. If they're still really creamy and look bad with white, go a more modern cream like a Hogs Bristle Quarter or similar but with fresh white trims (not a hint of cream!). Sounds like you'll get a plain modern vanity, toilet etc, so I'd keep it simple. Actually, if the toilet is white, can you keep it? It looks perfectly fine. Same for the mirror. The curtain is the other obvious thing that would make a big difference, you could replace with a roman blind that is in a bold pattern / colour. Without knowing your personal style preferences, it's hard to suggest, but I'd suggest a bold stripe or even a traditional palm tree print, a fresh ticking, a preppy geometric, lots of options... You can then replace that in time when you prefer something different. Then add a bit of personality with a couple of nice framed prints that reference your blind pattern, add a couple of fresh hand towels and it should look really fresh!
