For an open shower you need a water stop 1500mm from the shower rose. You’re a little short.

I was thinking to have a shower grate drain at the back of shower and slope the floor to the back of shower so water runs to the back, would this not be workable?

I am open to having a glass screen door if necessary, just thought it would be nice to not have the glass to clean 🙂

You’ll still need a sloped floor. Avoid a strip grate if you can. Google cleaning them. The 1500 will still apply. And you also need to look up the required length of the shower screen.

Give me glass over tiles any day. The code requirements are measured horizontally from the shower rose and are regardless of fall. 1500 from the rose so if wall mounted you may be okay

Suggestion, move vanity next to door . Personally I like toilet separate to bathroom but only if it has a basin for handwashing

keeping in mind that it can sometimes be cheaper to move a wall, cabinet or door than plumbing so would you please share a floor plan showing what's on the other side of all the walls and what are the floors and all the walls built out of?

do you mean that all the internal walls are brick or just the external walls?

Changing space by moving cupboard outside toilet to its entryway allow a bigger vanity in bathroom

like Kate, my suggestion would sacrifice the hall cabinet for more space in the bathroom but without changes to window or bath location and, with 1500mm of available space you may be able to avoid the glass door but probably need to test the shower before being confident that there's no overspray

Here is your walk in shower. Ok for window in shower if you are changing it to wet area compliant.

As you plan a new style bath this plus the shower would fit into the new space created

using the old toilet plus extra space between it and the passage. , Keeping the original window and reusing existing plumbing in bathroom plus ensuite would help reduce costs. I would also re swing the door for extra privacy

And if you run the tub and shower this way you won't need a screen

And one last comment, if you use a back to wall tub with curved ends it can be centered on the wall which would look lovely

Thanks all, lots to think about, I like the plan that has the bath and shower area together however im not sure if im willing to give up my cupboard space, can never have enough storage and i was considering taking that cupboard out across the existing toilet door and making it a larger cupboard. I might end up going with the bath in current position and move the vanity to beside the door but il think it over and way up the costs etc. Thanks for the input 😊.

Sorry Krystal I did mean to show a linen cabinet in the bathroom even though I prefer the longer vanity and after your great second drawing showed the laundry next door with a wall of cabinets I decided to leave it out. Without a floorplan and knowing your family dynamics hard to guess needs, although a very good friend of mine says too much storage encourages us to keep too much unnecessary stuff.
