This house was built 1952. This is for sale and with neutral colours through the entire home, it presents to a big demographic. Repainting to 1950,s colours may limit your buyers who are either not into the 1950 colours, or just can’t afford to pay to paint the house, or can’t be bothered to do it themselves.

The area where 'the ole gal' is, now attracts knock downs rebuilds. A lot of townhouse developers. Or the palace builders.. with apparently no care for any style but the latest Faux The White House, USA (as big as rhey can get approval for) 🤮. Any paint time will be wasted. Any paint money is just to cover the stains so buyers don't suspect water leaks (are none, but could looks like).

If you think the home will be knocked down. Then don’t paint anything. The developer won’t care if knocking the home down. And a private family purchase should be getting a builder inspection report to check for water leaks etc. In my opinion a home that shows it’s original bones and hasn’t been “covered up” with paint, is a wiser choice. Painting the home, from info you have posted, will not make any difference to the end sale price…if sold to a developer. It would only make a difference if your home was in an area with buyers with an appreciation for original homes. Then you would do a full paint as per my example to achieve the best price.
