Doesn’t matter what colour the artwork is, as there is no colour in the room except for the taupe lounge to match to. It’s the shiny Carrara look floor tiles that need to be softened. Maybe add a jute floor runner along the wall , or jute floor rug under dining table. Add artwork of your choice, maybe with timber frames, same timber as stools, on the wall. Add sheer s fold curtains on the sliding doors. Add a black or earthy coloured pot with a healthy, real plant.
The area definitely needs warming up. A slim sideboard in same timber tone as bar stools, a large rug under dining table and soft curtains hung high and wide would make a world of difference. A beautiful warm tones vessel with greenery in centre of dining table would look great too - just don't go too small with decor peices.
As dreamer suggested Sheer S fold Curtains hung at ceiling height, not sure if the sliding doors go to the right wall and are they center opening, the curtains would draw back onto the space you were considering a hanging which now wouldn't be needed. Lovely room.
The sliding doors look like they are a centre opening. So sheer s fold curtains, with track installed at cornice height, curtains centre opening, pulling back both sides, to sit in front of fixed panel of glass.
Thank you everyone. I do like the idea of the floor rug under the dining table but with a toddler it will just be constant mess. I do have s fold curtains along the main wall but thinking I might add them to this wall also. I’m not sure if the space is large enough for the console table along the wall if it’ll make the area feel too crowded? Here’s a couple more photos of the angles of the room. Also leaning towards these paintings do you think this will suit? Again thank you everyone!
Continue the curtain around the corner using a joiner with extra track, because you have a little one the curtain could be drawn back to the corner, we have just done our own, it's easy to change, art choice lovely and suits your lovely room and floor, no rug needed.
Thank you for the extra information and photos. This gives the context of the room. Instead of just the wall. No a console or buffet table would not fit in that area between island and wall. Your artwork is perfect for the space. And curtains are wonderful, so extend to the other wall.
