Shower Bath or Walk In Shower
Comments (13)I think it depends on whether there is a young family in the home or not. And for resale purposes, it’s not a big deal as the buyer will determine their own personal need/priority accordingly at time of purchase. Stand-alone shower is much better though. The room looks much bigger. The use of tiles is great. And a huge standout for me is that the mirror frame sets off the tiles. It needed that something extra to bring it all together - you’ve hit the mark fabulously. Just needs a plant (real or faux) in there now :)...See MoreHow to fit walk-in shower and bath into “large” bathroom?
Comments (35)Hi Deonne If your bathroom requires the two doors, my suggestion is NOT to have a bath. Keep it very clean and neat Across the recess have either a walk-in shower with a 600mm opening OR a glass panel and door. You may consider a seat in the shower ( example on our website ) A recess ( niche ) for shower 300mm high max length Wall hung, all drawer vanity. In-wall cistern toilet suite. Mixer diverter, overhead and handheld shower. Quality tapware, with min 10-year warranty Porcelain floor tiles min 300 x 300. Tile to ceiling, ( unless home has high ceiling, if high, tile to an architrave height ) min tile size 600 x 300, Ceramic to rein in cost...See MoreOpen shower next to bath. Comments (4)We have a shower with a single pane of glass and no door. It’s works perfectly and I love it. We made our opening only 500mm which is plenty and helps reduce splash. Yes, a bit of water does spray a little onto the floor tiles but not a problem in our bathroom layout. If our water pressure was super strong it might be more of an issue. We have a linear drain under the shower head than spans the width, with the whole shower area falling towards it slightly. Nice and neat with no awkward diagonal tile cuts. Every time I see a photo of that layout with the freestanding bath within the shower area I immediately think how dirty the bath would constantly look. I wouldn’t do it for that reason....See Morecentre bath waste for shower baths?
Comments (1)I can't see a problem with the drain. However Depending on the bath, he bath to walls requires " waterproofing "to some degree, to prevent water from pooling under the bath...See More- 2 months ago
