If you have the shower floor higher than the bathroom floor, the water is going to run into bathroom. All shower floors should be lower, and tiles sloped toward appropriate drainage. Your posted comments don’t seem to make sense for Australian design standards.

This is a photo showing a bathroom that has floor tiles continuing into the shower recess. The shower has no raised areas. The shower recess floor is sloped towards drainage. This is a safer option for all ages.

Is it a new build or an existing bathroom? It is difficult to get the correct fall for a continuous tiled base in an existing bathroom.

You can grind some existing slabs to get the right fall but it’s not easy which is why you’ve prob been given the two options. I wouldn’t choose either of them, both have comprises in terms of drainage and trip hazards. And you don’t really get the aesthetics of a continuous tile. I’d use an ultra low profile shower base. I have seen them in different colours if you want to see if you can

If changing height less than 30 mm you want a contrast in colour to avoid it being a trip hazard. Tiled edges can be sharp when hit
