Hi Heather, whatever the selection - we always recommend to have the cabinetry finish match as closely as possible to your wall finish - as to not look like two contrasting whites, you may just consider repainting after you've made the selection. Dulux Natural white or Lexicon Quarter are both very popular selections - and not on the too cold or too warm side either. We also find that most clients too will mix finishes - for example using a grey for the upper cabinetry, or on the island bench - to create contrast, you may notice that between all white walls, benchtop and sink the white becomes overwhelming! lisa2chang No apologies needed, happy to answer and thank you for your compliment. We imported all our appliances, sink ware and tapware and sourced bathroom fittings also. The costs below include all trades (plumbing, electricians, plasters, tilers, chippies, wooden flooring) that we used and 2pac cabinetry, vanities, all stone (bathrooms, kitchen, laundry, pantry). In total our renos cost (for laundry, kitchen, powder room, butlers pantry changing a family bathroom into a new bathroom and ensuite) $145, 359.47. The kitchen and pantry portion of this was $62, 919.41- (excluding appliances sinks and tapware). We did make structural changes to the room next to the kitchen, to make the butlers pantry and to a large, unused family bathroom. We saved costs by doing all the demo and painting ourselves,some labouring and importing appliances. Hope that helps :)

Ta heaps, Jodes. 2 years post reno and we’re still lovin‘ it - it’s so practical and easy to clean. I’d have yours any day too btw. You’re lucky to have a sparkie on tap. We don’t. Our cabinet maker threw in the strip lighting. I thought it was a nice but unnecessary extra; something I wouldn’t have asked for. But like you, I’m so glad it’s there - no working in your shadow. It’s brilliant. An absolute must in any future kitchen reno now. The MW is good but a bit impatient - it beeps too much! We had a 20yr old Sharp carousel, so the new one was a bit of a tech leap. It‘s pretty easy to get used to. We use the combo function a lot, and the rice program does a great job. Wish it cleaned itself tho! Since seeing your fridge, I’ve been on alert every time ours makes a weird noise, hoping this is it - bang - ceased motor. New fridge! Keep us updated about your window coverings. It’s a lovely looking home. You and your hubby have done really well. :-)

i have not looked into the splashback pricing yet, as i am still stuck onto the colour fr the cabinets. we have to decide it tonight. I have been looking at warm whites, as suggested earlier in the thread. Antique white USA in 1/4 strength i think will go with the grey colored stone. I have read tht in full strength it throws cream tones. NOt sure if this colour scheme will work. i still have to decide the wall colours for the kitchen. We have finalised hog bristle1/4 for the living area with natural white for ceiling n trim.
