The idea of decoratively painted or wrapped doors opens up room for creativity! Why are we so hidebound when it comes to our front doors? For that matter, it could be done on any door, inside or outside. The pink/red background color is makes this particular door disconnected from the porch. If the daybed was pink/red, the door would make sense. If it matched the deep gray of the stucco walls, it would look much more elegant, like white wrought iron covering the door. I think it's an idea well worth exploring.

Not that I have seen - what we could do is a plantation shutter and then use a Crimsafe build-out to attach the security screen - you need to have it so that the shutter can open and it not protrude in to the screen - the challenge I see is that there will be a fairly large gap between each door to allow them to pass each other You might be better to look at using a commercial door section a slimline fixed louvre and then having your screen at the rear - this would allow a much better fit and also slide - but it would not be an opening type shutter Sorry best ideas I have for now - if you need anything else or me to do a rough sketch so you can approach someone in your area let me know Regards Heather

Thank you so much for everyone's thoughts, it has honestly been very helpful. We are going to consider going right across the front of the house and over that problematic front door. Going to consider going across with the same space as we originally had going straight out. I'll keep everyone posted as I so appreciate all the help!!

What a lovely kitchen. Good idea to match to window and bi-fold. Gorgeous splash back tiles and the black pendants are perfect. I also spotted the clever used of space with the bank of drawers in wall between oven and L-shaped counter.
