hi all URGENT in need of colour advice please!!!
Comments (17)Hi Aleta1, youre getting down to the nitty gritty of Interior Design now. Choosing the perfect colour involves addressing many issues...size of your windows, orientation of the house, height of ceilings, size of rooms, purpose for room to name a few. If you have the time I recommend getting a sample pot of full and half strength and try it in a couple of corners of each room. That way you can see how the colour looks at different angles. Good luck....See MoreWhen I decorate it feels cluttered. Is there any rules to stick to?
Comments (44)I would get rid of the plant behind the TV and also take away the 3 pictures you have above your fireplace. As most of the other comments have said don't be afraid to play with color! You have a great wee space and adding in some color would be awesome!...See MoreWould love ideas on wall treatment!

That is my next thought -- the TV should be where the picture is . Yes , there is the fire below . Yes , heat rises . But if you can hang a painting there , you can probably hang a TV there . Although there is a temptation to just swap the picture and TV , I think the picture will still distract . A non-landscape picture may look better , but that one is almost competing with the TV . The frame . The colours . In my mind , you either don't have a TV in a room , or you make it part of the concept -- you have basically done that with the picture , the TV is now a 'nothing' . A poorly executed nothing IMO . But another option if you are wanting the TV to stay where it is -- move it to your bedroom . Or sell it . Get a bigger TV , and mount it a bit higher and equi-distant on that wall -- it looks too low , too far to the right , and although maybe a bit small , the positioning makes it worse . Make it look like it was planned , not planned to fail ....See MoreBigger Windows ?
Comments (2)Keep the meals as is. As this is the west side of home. Because your lounge is a thoroughfare, and you said in another post you are installing a wall. Then maybe keep as is. Ideally the lounge should have a big window, since it is on the north side. But if you have no where else for artwork, and you are overlooking a fence, keep as is....See Morehal91
