Personal taste aside, I think it's put together well. I like the sofa aNd elongated space, I also like the coffee table, but not keen on e browness of that rug. It does add texture, but it feels as though it needs a lift, which is odd in a room with vertical space?? The floor looks great but hidden. I'd lighten that rug to suit that, layering is fine, but something sympathetic to the floor might help reflect light from ground up, the the timbers and sofa would warm the area by contrast.

I am sorry if I was too brief. The colorbond pallet is so small compared to colours available form Dulux, Porters etc. all of which can be spray painted,rolled or painted by hand, etc. I just find it limiting, notwithstanding the excellent examples you have posted. All the best, Michael.

My other thought was to move the protea print across to above console but not sure how it would look next to other print. Also within the dining family room I already have 2 prints. I did try a small mirror but when the console is positioned up against the end wall it mainly reflects kitchen.
