Help needed finding the right white!

We are close to painting our new house - a small, modern house on our farm. We have charcoal polished concrete floors, Polar White lamisilk kitchen cupboards, Snow stone bench tops, a timber fronted island bench, floating raw timber shelves in the kitchen, a bagged brick wall w timber shelves and masses of windows to the north. In mid winter the sun comes 2/3 of the way into the open plan kitchen/dining/living but doesn't hit the walls or white cabinetry. We have dark grey sisal carpet and dark grey bathroom tiles with white vanities at the other end of the house. I was thinking of simply painting the walls a cool white throughout to tone in with the kitchen cabinetry - is that the way to go? bit I don't want to look cold! Help!
