Jarrah floorboards

Hi, I need some professional knowledge regarding Jarrah floors. I put down Jarrah floors over 12 months ago. I would like to put a rug down. After 12 months of the floors curing, would a rug eventually leave a different colour floor patch if I decided to remove the rug from the area in the future. The room is protected from direct Sun throughout the day. I'm concerned if I decided to change my mind about having a rug, I will be left with an outline of the rug on the floorboards. What is the professional opinion or observation on this? Thank you

I think darker grey or dark inky blues look great with red tone flooring. (8 photos) I'm not a fan of the dark on the upper cabinet though. I would go with white for those personally.

You are correct, it's a totally different process with floating floors. You need a solid base for them to be laid on such as yell tongue. The kitchen is installed first without the kickers and the floating floor then laid. The kickers are fitted last to cover the edge of the flora ting floor so that there is no requirement for a edge trim. Your cabinetmaker needs to be aware of what flooring is being used as this will affect the finished height of the bench tops +/- 19mm.

Well, you have lovely rooms! What is it about floorboards that appeals to you? Thinking about that might give you some direction. Does your budget allow you to have floorboards in both tiled and carpeted areas? Certainly, they will look great in both areas. Tiles look very clinical and shiny, which can be very appealing in kitchen area, but maybe you are wanting to warm up the space?
