Comments (26)hi we have about six months ago now, re done our bath room , similar size to yours, and , i can take some photos and email them to you , we have maximised space, and walls , put in a white stone bath under the window , it is a metre in width , with a cool water spout coming off the centre under the window we pu t afalse ledge in to sit , candles etc on , , we tiles floor to ceiling, off white , wall mirror cabnit with three mirrors , inset into the wall so its only sits out a we bit from the wall tiles , floating bath room vanity , so that it makes the floor space look bigger , . matching stone square basin sits ontop of the vanity to one side so plenty of room to sit all your bath room stuff when need be , seperate shower all tiled as well , with inset , shelves for shampoo etc, also , when you open the bath room door and walk in when you close the bath room door behind it next to the shower is a very narrow floor to ceiling shelvec for towels, now the hole is there we jaust havent got the shelves put in yet. , we gt loads of comments as the bth room dosent look small evn though it is , , most expensive item the sqwat extra wide stone bath , made to order basin / tap ware and shower spray thing ,oh and the white stone vanity which we had made to order as well , due to the sizing ....See MorePlease help advise criticise & feedback on my split-level house design
Comments (61)Thank you Oklouise for looking into these again for me. We had a lengthy discussion with my artchitect during the week and we agreed that he would revisit the whole concept, with particular regard to how spaces are distributed across the split levels. This might change the floor plan entirely. He is coming up with a new proposal today. I will share that with you here for comparison and advise. Thanks again....See MoreHelp with the design of a small holiday house
Comments (63)my suggestion are based on the fact that mum and dad are usually at the house alone and aims for simple two person accommodation that can be rearranged to suit a crowd...the kitchen cabinets are the only fixed objects in the room and include a tall pantry, base cabinets and/or drawers with open shelves and wall cabinets and space for several people to work side by side with a small extendable dining table, two chairs and a bench seat (also used as a place for newspaper and lamp etc behind the recliners)...a patio with big table for outdoor eating under the shade of the tree with extra bench seats that can also be used inside... there's space for a small divan or night and day lounge with a wall hung tv and the corner bedroom door allows for much better circulation space in both the living and bedrooms with preferably a sliding glass door for indoor outdoor connection with or without the original front door and, based on the size of king single beds, there's no other arrangement that would allow both beds to have a view to the lake and there's just enough space for a biw, small desk and two chairs...See MoreBest roof line design for small extension on existing house
Comments (4)i can't read the dimensions to be more accurate but depending on the difference between the location of the nth wall of the living room and the north wall of the laundry the new roof could be continuous and a portico would be the same either way but there might need to be an extra space.. like a verandah or extended eve to make the roof shape simpler...See MoreShell D
