TOILETS - Which one out of these 2 is better?? HELP!!!!
Comments (7)I know this is an old thread, but for the benefit of others who googled for a review and would like an opinion on the Parisi Ellisse toilet - here's my opinion after two to three years of use: Would I recommend - sorry, but no Loved the design and comfort of the toilet seat, but having used the toilet for a couple of years, this toilet has blocked on numerous occasions and partially blocked on even more. You'd think that by now flush design would have been well researched, and blockages would be rare, but we find blockages far too frequent. Maybe we just have too big a load. Of course, the trick to prevent blockage is to predict when the toilet may be getting full and to flush whilst mid-way between your number two, and /or be aware of how much toilet paper you might be using and take and extra flush. The other design issue I have is that the toilet seat cover and the top of the cistern is such that if you lean back, the seat cover raises the cistern cover slightly and when you stand up, the seat cover returns to its normal position and causes the cistern cover to drop back. This might be an installation issue, however, if so, then the tolerances for correct installation are very tight. Hope others find this feedback helpful....See MoreNew Build - Floor Plan
Comments (56)As I've already said, it's going to be an excellent home to live in. Very very practical and simple and I mean that as a huge compliment! Too many houses these days built too large and end up having wasted space along with having to buy stuff you don't need to fill rooms you don't use. Much prefer a smaller home and pour the money into quality finishes and furniture. My only suggestion would be to enclose the ensuite toilet. Put it where the shower is, put the shower on the external wall with a window high up and as wide as room. Move vanity to the middle and door into ensuite would be from the middle of the wir which gives a bit more privacy and mystery upon entering wir. Even if you sacrificed a little of that storage provision beside the ensuite from the entry side, to me that would be worth it to get a larger and more private ensuite. Anyway will be great either way. Cheers...See MoreCreative ideas needed for a luxury bedroom makeover
Comments (77)Hi Houzzers You have all been so kind with your design advice, and helped us come up with this design. I think we are nearly there, and are pretty happy with the result...we still ended up with the door into bedroom from hall....but think it will be ok.....may swing the door the other way...will put doors on bathroom and sitting(not shown) I like the 2 dressing areas we have created either side of our wardrobes, and the seperate toilet. Very happy for any other input on this design before we send it off to the builder!...See MoreLaundry/bathroom layout and reno advice please
Comments (19)@AAB That Ikea one looks like it has good dimensions from above, but I think you'd find 20cm too shallow to double as a useful laundry tub. If you could find one that was twice that depth… I did encounter such a sink in a long-stay apartment hotel I stayed in recently. The bathroom was fitted out with a combined washer-dryer unit and the "basin" – while styled aesthetically like a bathroom basin and oval in shape as well as rounded in cross-section – was really big. You could have washed a large baby in it! So clearly that kind of thing is available. It did require a fairly deep vanity to mount it in, but that was there to accommodate the depth of the washer-dryer anyway. The only thing with a deep vanity is you absolutely need to mount the mirror on a cabinet to bring it forward, not directly on the wall. If you don't do that anyone who is short and/or short-sighted has a hard time using the mirror for practical purposes such as shaving, inserting contact lenses, or applying makeup. (Yes, I discovered this during my hotel stay too!)...See MoreHU-524005262
