I am an interior designer specializing in kitchens, bathrooms, home libraries, offices, wine storage, custom closets and any room featuring built in furniture and millwork that requires particular attention to use and spatial planning and a proud recipient of a Best Of Houzz 2013 Award for customer satisfaction in the Remodeling category. I like to think of decorating as creating an outfit for a room. Of course, it does have to be an outfit you will not mind wearing for a good, long while. Seriously, though, the care one takes to coordinate an outfit is quite similar to room decorating. Just because you “like it” doesn’t means it works! Too many accessories, more than one large bold pattern and colors that are not complimentary will take down even the best of the individual items being used. Cohesive design where each item has not only a purpose but is in proper scale and has a good relationship with the other items in the room, will make a room inviting no matter what the style. The selection of flooring, cabinetry, counters, backsplash, and wall color can really be done in any order as long as each element builds upon the last. Take into account colors and themes from adjoining rooms as well. This will help to create a flow in the home that really shows off a sense of style. Kitchens require special attention as plumbing and electric codes as well as appliance clearances all have to be taken into account while creating a visually pleasing, functional space. It is my opinion that a good ” kitchen designer” will guide you to find your style and showcase your unique treasures while creating that cohesion that makes a room really special.

Toni took the time to get to know me and figure out what we wanted in our new kitchen when i wasn't even sure what I wanted. Our kitchen turned out to be perfect for me and, as an avid cook with a large family, is used and enjoyed on a daily basis. She thought of everything and every day I am so happy that Toni designed our space.

Toni has been a godsend. Not only has she been very patient through a difficult renovation of a co-op that is 111 years old, she was there through thick and thin. She has been good-humored through all sorts of things that were out of her control (my wedding, my international move, and the hospitalisation and loss of my mother.), she has helped me immeasurably. Toni has a designer's eye and sensibility-but that is to be expected. What is striking is the degree to which Toni pays attention to every little nuance of what one says. She notices the colors I wear and what I look good in (and the opposite-though she is too polite to say it!). She knows everybody and finds fabrics and furniture repair people and cabinet makers and has a wealth of contacts in the New York area. She really pays attention to her clients and the result (which is gorgeous) feels like me. I would use her again and again and I can recommend her without reservation. She is a gem.

My partner and I had no idea where to begin when we decided to transform our original 1960's kitchen/ dining room. We started with Houzz. After perusing the numerous photos and styles, we realized what almost every pic we saved had a commonality . A designer named Toni Sabatino.
To our surprise and complete delight, she is based in the same county in which we live. We are now engaged in the design stage of our project. Being complete novices, but not wanting a "big box store" reno, Ms. Sabatino has been an invaluable asset guiding us with her experience, listening ( and remembering!) everything we discussed regarding how we live in our space , and most importantly , staying within our budget. We fully intend to post before during and after pics on Houzz. Stay tuned!

We found Toni well into a Manhattan apartment renovation. She not only rescued us from a near disaster but designed and found sub-specialists to do a Master Bathroom and Kitchen - both having been gutted. Her designs were not only amazing but practical. She listened to what we wanted and gave us her professional advice. She worked well with her sub-contractors and the end product was beyond what we anticipated. Our small galley kitchen utilizes a great design that gives us more counter and cabinet space and overall is beautiful to look at and fun to work in. The Mast Bathroom is also quite lovely and again Toni's design was masterful. We could not have been happier with everything that she did. She was professional and delightful to work with. We were amazed at her expertise.

I have seen Toni's work several times when she has worked for a friend of mine. She always creates a harmonious home and it was only natural that I turned to her when we purchased our first home. We are still in the early stages of finishing this home, but already Toni has created a flow and rhythm just by choosing paint colors. When my general contractor went to order paint, the store owner was impressed by the selection and said, "this is obviously a decorator's palette because the colors work so well together ". I look forward to completing my home with Toni and will add pictures once we are through.

During the planning stages of a large kitchen and main living space renovation in my home, Toni Sabatino came into my life- not only with her firm grasp of the spacial academics of interior design & construction, but with boundless positive energy and a real capacity for embracing and understanding her clients needs, desires and at times, their confusion!
Her intuitive design skills and manner of getting her ideas across to me and my contractor earned our continual respect and trust from the concept to the completion of this project. All went smoothly with fabulous results.
Working with Toni was like working with a great life coach! And now, years after this project was completed, lived in and used daily, I have not only continued to enjoy this environment to the fullest, but I love getting the compliments that I continue to receive.
Shortly I will be downsizing to a much smaller living area, with a much smaller budget...but I can't wait to be working with Toni again as she helps me create a new flow of my space and a new "flow" for my changing life!

After searching several companies to come up with a design for my very old outdated kitchen, Toni had the vision to completely reformat the kitchen layout. Though skeptical in the beginning, I decided to use Toni's plans. Toni guided me through the maze of choosing floor tile and finding complimentary countertop and backslash material right down to the wall paint color. Toni also helped me in choosing proper lighting and a suite of appliances . Toni is a very talented individual that has the ability to figure out what your likes and dislikes are and will choose the right design and color to your liking. Toni is a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend her.
