The original house is constructed on an overland flow easement, constraining the option of building on the ground level, so the design went up instead. An addition consists of a media room/loft, a library, master bed and ensuite, connected to the main house and office by an internal deck. A spiral staircase leads down to a beautifully secluded outdoor living and play space.
