White House

This house was in need of some updates to freshen it up and make it feel more light and bright. What was a blank brick wall with a 1970s wall heater as the feature has been transformed into a wood-burning chimney breast with floating shelves flanked on either side. It has just added so much lightness, depth and character to the room. It is now a place to display artwork, books and photos and also a place to store things in the drawers below. Subtle detail has been added by using the lining boards to the rear of the shelves.

The original carpet was pulled up and tassie oak floorboards were sanded back and now just add so much warmth to the house overall.

All walls were painted white and new light fittings selected throughout.
