a backsplash with a design is interesting. Would that be too busy if we chose a flooring with a pattern?
We keeping the appliances white, I would like to have colored cabinets, that won't clash with appliances or make then stand out like a sore thumb.

What is better: tile behind sink or a continuation of counter material? First photo that I have seen, where I like the multicolored counter.
Not too sure about other colors on tile. In my mind it would be hard to change accent colors of kitchen, in the future.
Want Adam to see smaller tiles. Nice to have the dark blue as an accent color, but also be able to pick up other colors from tile.

like the white counter tops with the white oven. We are keeping white appliances. Will need to have contrasting color on cabinets.
I like the contrast of the white wood work and the tile: subtle, yet makes a statement. Do not like the open cabinet concept.
the blue on the bottom and white on top with white tiles would make the kitchen much brighter, even with a dark floor. Will the white cabinets have a contrast with the white tiles?
