kitchen
Cabinets and island with seating on two sides
Cabinets
Cabinets; J: I like it, but worry it could get a little dark. Might just be these photos though
(J): too light a wood tone for us?
(J): a little dark and “cold,” but for some reason I still like it.
Backsplash
Cabinets (J): don’t love the backsplash or island counter, but do like the rest
Cabinet
Island; J: surprisingly, I kinda like the near matching of the island. But I think the key is the ceiling accent and that the other cabinets are white.
Cabinets
Colors; J: surprised how well the three wood tones work. I like adding color with backsplash, and the open shelves lighten up the space
Cabinet color
(J): don’t love the waterfall, but it’s nice (for a predominantly white kitchen…).
Color (J): I worry it could be a little dark for our space
(J): Cool feature for sink
(J): I don’t think we could pull off the glass cabinets
(J): too much wood?
(J): an “all white” kitchen but with wood on the island might be a way of getting wood in without making the kitchen “too specific” (Eg for resale)
(J): I like the use of color, but wonder if the backsplash would be an easier (and easier to change) way of achieving that). I am drawn to the white+wood+color combo
(J): a little boring for my taste
(J): backsplash
Cabinets are kind of cool
(J): I like the horizontal grain on the lowers and vertical grain on the uppers. But this one is also looking at what our floors look like with different looks
(J): another example of mostly white kitchen with wood coming from island
J: different view of the previous pic with the ceiling woodwork detail.
J: is it crazy to think about a ceiling detail like this to create “separation” of open space, and/or to distract from the bulkhead?
JL: not my fav
