Starting point
The architect had already designed the location of the kitchen but the functional flow and style needed to be layered within. We wanted something that would complement the home’s geographic location in Sydney between the beach and city.

- Contrasts
- Light versus dark, with touches of brass.
Materials palette
- Light, thin Shaker-frame cabinets that wrap around a dark V-groove panelled island.
- Reeded glass-fronted upper cabinets (so as not to detract from the V-grooved ceilings).
- In contrast in the butler’s pantry, there are dark, thin Shaker-frame cabinets.
- Brass mesh infill to the upper cabinets.
- Engineered Carrara stone benchtops throughout.
