I have been critical in the past of items that are advertised as the use of "colour" and show rooms predominately white with a small feature feature wall or cabinetry in a colour. so this feature article on colour absolutely hits the mark Thank you.

My kitchen/dining room walls are all painted Taubmans" Cinderblock", a dark blue with a hint of purple and the walls in my bedroom are all Solver " Port Byron" which is a rich dark teal. The lounge is painted Valspar "Cornish Slate". My home is a small old ordinary Australian building and without the spare cash to do much in renovations I used paint and colour to add a sense of much needed impact.

Oooo

This is a really helpful article. ive been thinking of painting the interior of my 1880s apartment in darker colours but have been ambivalent about it.

Your gorgeous photos have inspired me. I too was going to question why the paint colours weren't mentioned in the article; however Vanessa has explained this well in a previous post. Thanks. Im off to the paint shop!

#3 Jamesthomas Interiors...drooling. Dark walls are gorgeous, but painting the ceiling in the same dark shade is genius and next
