Asher's Ideas
I can't actually put my finger on what I like about this one (and I'm beginning to wonder whether I do like it...). I can't stand that feature under the rangehood though. Maybe, as I mentioned with one of the other photos, it's a nice mix of delicate and strong...although I think the other kitchen where I made the same observation does it better.
This kitchen is gorgeous (those red nobs though...whyyy?). I particularly like these lights. Again, not sure how realistic this is for our space though - the wooden beams on the high ceiling, a copious number of paned windows. I do still like the colours though and appreciate how the island cupboards are wooden, but don't clash with the flooring of make the space feel dark.

This colour palette is one of the ones I'd go for if we were keen to do something a bit more brave. The way the greenery pops with the navy blue and gold is very pleasing. It's almost a bit hipster/industrial, which I imagine would be in great danger of dating quickly. I think I'm also prone to getting sick of colours quickly, which is why I lean towards a white palette that I can fill out with easily changeable décor.
Things I like about this one: - the black highlights with the oven and window frames: that really lifts the space. - the different facades on the cupboards (some shaker, some flat). That adds interest while reducing how busy the small kitchen looks. - the cabinets are coloured without making the kitchen feel dark (although I question how that would look with wooden flooring). - the splashback is pretty cool - I think I actually really like the type of light above the window - whether gold or black. I think some of the other photos I've saved have the same type of lighting.
The vibe of this kitchen is wonderful. I'm not sure if I like how intense the wood grain on the wall panels are, but the colour palette and mix of brown, earthy tones is beautiful. It feels like you're in Europe...what's not to love? It's somehow delicate and strong at the same time. It's a bit like being in nature - there are pretty details that catch your eye, but when you look at the whole, it's rather grand.
I like this whole vibe - particularly the black highlights with the lighting. Would do simpler shaker paneling. The mix of handles is also quite interesting - it adds interest while also making it feel less cluttered through the matching colours. The windows are gorgeous, but probably not realistic for our place.
This is very different to everything else, but I do quite like it. It feels much richer/luxe than what I'd normally gravitate towards...I think it might feel out of place in our townhouse though and it seems like it would date quickly?
In contrast to the kitchen with the dark under cabinets, I like the softness of this colour palette (not a fan of the light shade though). I'm not sure if I'd want this to be my kitchen though...it has some really interesting features, but not sure how practical they'd be (e.g. the open end shelving)
I thought I liked this, but I'm starting to think it feels a bit too cute for what I like. The wood is really honey colours and the blue is verging on bright - these colours would be perfect for a little kid's bedroom...
