lucygannon I agree. I have had double sinks, one and a quarter sinks, one and a half sinks, butlers pantry sinks, and one and three quarter sinks! We now realise all those extra bits of sink were just used for draining and not really needed, just more cleaning. Finally now in our last kitchen we are just getting one larger bowl with separate draining tray and one of those wonderful roll up removable drainers....cant wait to simplify!!

I have just ordered a new kitchen and am getting a patterned stainless steel bench top. I spent a long time considering my sink and what would fit and best meet my needs. I have gone for a large deep single stainless sink. My reasoning being that I only wash large platters and trays that won't fit in the dishwasher. The compromise is that to get this the waste disposer is in this sink as I didn't have the room for a separate one. Fingers crossed I have made the right decision.
