I had a cast iron claw foot tin in one of my previous homes. It was beautiful to use but impossible to clean under.

Apologies for the poor quality pic, best I could do on the iPad. This is the claw foot I installed when renovating our bathroom just over 12 months ago. I love the slipper end it's so comfortable to lay in, even my over 6 feet tall husband loves a good soak after a long day now! When I was researching I was looking at cast iron simply for heat retention, but couldn't find anything that I liked so ended up with this acrylic Kado Classic and have no problems with heat retention.

I love the heat retention from a cast iron bath. I haven't had any trouble cleaning underneath, admittedly you need to lower the broom and mop close to the floor, I did have heaps of room next to the tub to enable that manoeuvre!
I have moved from the house the bath was in originally (built in 1918) but have brought the bath with me, yet to be installed.
