Kitchen
the back of peninsula is painted wall, not cabinet material. This would work well on the backside of our island, but I think in this case, it would have been better to have the wood showing.
I love the oak/white scheme but I probably would have rather either put the wood on the lower wall cabinets and white on the island or else make all lower cabinets wood. Love the handles!
One side modern, other traditional. Oak looks dark in this photo than it actually is but actually prefer the darker colour.
Island has wood countertop where the seating is
heath tile backsplash 50/50 fog
cherry wood with green granite counter
vertical grain fir cabinets with flat slab doors and no uppers. wood windows.
vertical grain slab fir doors
a good example of how the lack of upper cabinets allows for backsplash to the ceiling that adds a completely different element of colour/texture to the kitchen. the fact that they used wood cabines and wood floor is moot here.
Melody’s Beautifully-Designed Pacific Northwest Kitchen
really love this kitchen. homey. vertical grain fir cabinets. white oak floor, I wouldn't have that finish on the island tho. or the backsplash stop where it does.
Fir cabinets
wood cabinets and floor.
Cherry cabinets. Nice lighter tone in the floor.
this is what I'm afraid of: when you add in a dark colour on the walls with wood cabinets and wood floor.
green counters, although the green walls are too much.
wood floor, wood cabinets, green counter and backsplash.
Nice backsplash with the cabinets
Interesting lack of backsplash along windows. Just a 4" counter. And very subtle backsplash behind cooktop.
good example of terracotta tiles that work well. subtle.
single colour backsplash with wood cabinets and white (marble) counter
considering green...nope.
another one
not crazy about this kitchen but does show the blue-wood cabinet combo with lighter wood floor and white counters
wood cabinets, blue backsplash, white counters
wood cabinets, wood floors, white counters (blue backsplash)
wood floors, wood cabinets, blue cabinets, white counters
Sherwin-williams "slate tile" paint.
Good use of lighter wood floor than cabinets. cabinets are more uniform than floor.
Finally a two toned kitchen without wood and white! Bravo!
Again good use of a slightly lighter and varied floor with similar tones to cabinets. cabinets are darker and more uniform in grain. Not sure about the baseboards, tho.
I feel like I should love this kitchen. It has all the element that I'm going for. But for some reason, parts of it don't work. Like the darker but not enough contrast cabinets on the counter. Like the floor doesn't go with the cabinets. But I love the colour of the main cabinets and the blue countertop.
warm tone in hardwood and similar tone but darker and more uniform in cabinets
floor. wood cabinets and blue.
horizontal cabinets, horizontal backsplash
