Laundry
Here's another option - swap washing machine & dryer around (eliminate dryer & put in new sink) sink placed into benchtop - & then larger cupboard up to ceiling on top - may have a little of benchspace sticking out over washing machine etc but wld not look out of place. Wall next to ceiling only wide enough for 450cm depth cupboard as it then moves into glass sliding door. The cupboard above wld be closed to eliminate look of clutter
This is a possibility - forget the dryer don't need it, weather conducive to drying outside most of the year - the cupboards above (have 1 - do I get another or I am thinking of the open shelves next to the cabinet. I think the present sink is old fashioned & needs to come out. If I do that & move a new sink/cupboard closer to the wall maybe I cld put a narrow cupboard against the other wall to hid brooms, mop etc.
I can take some of these ideas & use - I only have an alcove w/- enough room for washing machine & sink w/- possibly 6" left over (not enough room for narrow cupboard) in which I put brooms, mops etc. Not exactly conducive to looking clean & tidy. Where do you put the vacuum cleaner, carpet shampooer etc., not to mention buckets etc. However I do have a cabinet & am pondering putting another cabinet next to it or do I add open shelves such as above. Oh how I long for my Kalgoorlie laundry with a place for everything & everything in its place
That's what I want when I eventually get the broom cupboards made up
