I think its an eyesore in that streetscape, especially the stark contrast with the Edwardian original. I like both the Edwardian style and the..".big black box" individually but not together...and what's with the fence? I'd take the big black box and sit it on a hill in the country surrounded by trees and thoroughly enjoy it as an Art Studio-residence and I'd take the Edwardian exterior back to what it was,,,a probably really lovely gracious home in the suburbs of Melbourne. Both interiors are really well thought out but I think that I'd feel rather confused and unsettled and wonder if I was beginning to suffer from dementia trying to negotiate between both those styles, 1800s or year 3000?
