Outdoor entertaining area
Stacker doors to have sunken tracks, so there is no trip hazard (aware this will require drainage).
Will need to be able to have flyscreens (to stop the mozzies attacking John).
Covered BBQ area separate from the house, seating around the fire pit
Great way (skylights) of bringing light into the kitchen dining room and still have a covered outdoor space
Sliding glass doors around the entertainment area and no columns to support the roof
Not much room between house and boundary line
Covered entertaining area extending outside the lounge room
Roof lights in the ceiling of the outside area, full height sliding doors
What I like: - split door systems from kitchen/dining outside - windows/air gap above BBQ - 'lightbox' effect split roof system
Angled glazing above full height & width doors
Kitchen flowing straight out to the BBQ area. Continuation of same flooring outside.
Like having the outside fly screens and then glass doors to the inside. Enough space outdoors for BBQ, bar table and table & chairs
Retractable fly screens for the entertaining area is a must. Would like to have glass doors externally too, but that will depend on budget
like that it an extension of the kitchen sunken door tracks. Like the 'bar' height table to enable standing around to socialise with the BBQ chef.
Just a basic BBQ are is all we need - don't need the outdoor kitchen. Would have retractable flyscreens at the opening. Like the flow straight out from the kitchen to the BBQ itself
Flow from kitchen straight out to BBQ. Like the windows either side of the BBQ - could be a bit dark without them.
Would like the glass doors around the entertaining area (like in this photo), but imagine that would be quite expensive
Like the outdoor 'lounge area'
Non-permanent roofing idea (if the house is too big to fit the outdoor entertaining area under the requirements).
Sunken tracks, continuation of the same flooring outside.
Non-permanent roofing idea
Non-permanent roofing idea
Landscaping to the boundary
John likes the doors Lu likes the screened roof
Screening the outdoor area
Pergola structure covered in polycarbonate sheeting and lights
